Renewable energy investments in Turkey reached record levels in 2024. While solar and wind energy projects gained momentum, significant steps were taken towards the country's energy independence goal.
According to data from the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, solar energy installed capacity increased by 35% compared to the previous year. Wind energy recorded a growth of 28%.
The share of renewable energy sources in total electricity generation rose to 52%, setting a historic record. These developments show that Turkey is taking decisive steps towards achieving its 2030 energy targets.
